born 26 Mar 1867 Shoreditch, Middlesex, England, Son of John West & Phyllis Cooper. We do not know anything of his younger years, he married Fanny Elsie Billows, daughter Doris Elsie Ivie was born 6 Feb 1904 London, England.
They emigrated to USA in 1907 aboard the SS Republic.
Son Walter Winford (Winfred) West was born on 8 Sep 1908.
He worked at the West Place Ranch in Round Valley (Rees Brothers), Morgan, Utah for Thomas George West, whom I believe was a cousin. Later worked for his brother Charles Heber West in Hoytsville, Summit, Utah at monument works.
He was in the process of setting up a clock, watch, repair shop at the time of his death, which was his trade in England.
On the way home from work, in a downpour he stopped to help a woman whose home was being flooded, near Spring Hollow, returning home soaking wet to Hoytsville near upper lane, we think he developed Pneumonia from that drenching & passed away a short time later on 19 Jan 1911.
